Club News

A reminder from our President "Drugstore Cowboy" - If you enjoy shooting matches with the Silver Queen Mine Regulators, please lend a hand with setting up, and/or putting away the Targets and Props. If most of us Shooters help, especially at the end of the match, it only takes a few minutes. This is the least we can do to ensure that the work associated with the fun is not born by a relative few.

Last month "Judge Wells Spicer" wound up staying for over an hour putting away the steel by himself.

Please don't let this happen again.

Western TV/Movie Trivia

In reality a bona-fide cowboy, he was raised on a Montana cattle ranch and became a rodeo bronc rider after a stint as an Army pilot. He, along with Tex Ritter, was discovered in Madison Square Garden while they were performing in a rodeo. A tall, bald-domed, lanky man with a heavy western drawl. In his early films he sometimes used the name Heber Snow. He appeared in numerous TV. series, such as; "The Lone Ranger", "Wagon Train", "Rawhide", and "Cheyenne". In movies, he played "Deacon Clump" in "The Horse Soldiers", "Curly Butler" in "McClintock", and "Hank" in "Big Jake". But, by far his most famous role was as "Mose Harper" in the "The Searchers". So, who is he?
